Unison (january 2016)
Tango from Oakland CA
Unison holds ten new pieces written by bandoneonist Charles Gorczynski and developed with the ensemble. The band spent over a year crafting the arrangements and sound, recording the work at Fantasy Studios in late 2015. Unison is a pivot for the sextet towards personal writing and arranging, and is inspired both by the bay area's active tango culture and modern tango groups in Argentina and around the world.
